Beyond the Threats: The People of Cyjax

Jessica Bradbury

Junior Editor | Operations Team

What motivated you to join Cyjax?

I first joined Cyjax during my placement year at university when I was looking to gain experience as an editor.

Can you describe your role in one sentence?

Crossing the t’s and dotting i’s in reports and blog pieces.

What does a typical workday look like for you?

I edit a variety of reports during a typical workday, ranging from small updates to larger blog pieces and whitepapers.

What’s the most exciting project you’ve worked on at Cyjax so far?

I really enjoyed contributing to a recent blog piece which discussed and analysed the TikTok ban in the US.

What’s your favourite thing about working here?

Getting to work with the analyst team on a variety of projects.

I’ve picked up a lot more knowledge about the cyber threat landscape since joining and now understand some of the more technical aspects of it, something which I had no prior background in as I did an English literature degree at university.

What’s a random fun fact about you?

I’m a bit of a film fan and managed to watch over 250 films in 2024!

What’s your go-to productivity hack?

I always find making and checking off a list is the most effective (and satisfying) way to be productive.

What’s the last book you read? Would you recommend it?

I recently finished reading Carrie by Stephen King which I would definitely recommend. It was an easy and engaging read, a bit unnerving as well with it being a horror novel.

If you could master any skill instantly, what would it be?

I’d love to be able to master speaking other languages.
